loan. how much?
ok. i am sick of haveing a car that is just standard and running ****. i want some sort of unqueness. i am looking for a loan. i was wondering how much it would cost to get suspention completely done. i remember looking on a web site about a year ago saying that it would cost about 1700 for the full thing.ie strut bar top and bottom, rear sway bar and stiffer shocks and lower suspention. is this true?
also i need about 1000 to get the engine running smooth(wear and tear) and was thinking about a ajustable cam. is this a good thing to do or just leave it? if any body has prices and ideas please post up or pm me.

A suspension and maintaince loan? Theres a group buy comming up for coilovers, you should investigate that if your gona spend 1.7k on suspension. also, dont expect to get a loan unless you work more then 35 hours a week casual or are on contract part or full time for long enough to repay the loan. Get a personal loan from your bank, 4k to cover everything. Get loan insurance.

don't get me wrong, kings are very good if you wanna lower the car.
but they aren't a proformance spring in my books. they have seriously soft spring rates and are not designed to work with other suspension mods. |

the whiteline sprins are heaps softer than kings on the BA, the whiteline flatout spring for the V6 is actully softer at the fron than the std spring! and the back is only .2kg/mm stiffer at the rear

DON'T BORROW TO MOD!!!
ok but seriously - don't do it... you'll be pissing money up against a wall if you want a better car, borrow for a car you can afford, and will be worthwhile... damn it hindsight is a wonderful thing

I took out a loan and got a bit extra for mods to my car. even thought what i planned to do to the car all didn't happen cause i spent some of it before hand. lol. But yeah i do wish i had saved it for a better car.
I think just air bag the car

If you dont currently have any debt to your name (especially debt against your car, banks dont really like doing that if they have a security against a vehicle), and you have your heart set on going into debt to mod (something i honestly do not recommend....), a credit card is probably a better way to go.... That way you end up with an amount of money you can spend in dribs and drabs, you dont need to tell the bank what the loan is for and you can do what you want with it.
Once you max the card, consolidate it into a personal loan to reduce the interest payments and you are set. I borrowed to repair my last car...worst thing i ever did. dont own the car anymore and i'm still paying that portion of the loan back now....something to think about |

yep i used to think that untill my parents bought a MX5 and realised that no matter how much money ill spend on my 323 it will never be as good as the mx5.
it just sux that all the money you spend on the car you just simply never get it back people seem to go throguh cars pretty quickly n most only have the car for like 2 or 3 years n then get rid of it. even if its at a big loss anways. save your money n dont get a loan. |
