So update time..
i found out the hard way that the BG and BA 4 stud hubs wont bold on perfectly. you will need bg/ba lower ball joints and rack ends but the main prblem is the internal spline on the hub. BF's have a 24 tooth spline drive shaft and BG/BA's have a 26 tooth spline. so my original plan of just converting over to ba hubs has hit a brick wall. After some days of investigating i found the the 1994-1998 mazda 121 has a 4x100 hub axel with a 24 tooth internal spline. the 1990-1994 does aswell but the hub axel is just a little smaller which wont help my plans later down the track. So i picked up a set of these hubs at my local wreckers for $30 (and the bearings are in great condision too ) and you wouldnt ****ing believe it but they bolt straight on with no mods at all. HOW GREAT is that. So i n ow and a set of BA calipers (22v) BF calipers(18v) and 121 calipers (13v) so after fittling around with all different types of setups from wat parts i had i decided to go with the BF hubs and the BA dics i have BUT i will machine them down to 236mm to fit behind the calipers. the reason fr this is because that the 121 hubs have a single solid disc. i wasnt very happe with that so i had a now so old BA slotted disc that i machined down and u wount believe it but the BF calipers are a bolt on fit how crazy is that.. Anyway so my final front brake setup (for now) is; - 1996 mazda 121 hubs - 1985 Mazda 323 Bf capilers - 1997 mazda Ba disc (machined down) Ow i also installed my new rear wing, SS front bar, SS rear bar, fixed the exhaust, and fixed my little dent in the rear ...

Atm it's just the standard bf disc's atm. Will be swapping the hole rear end to a BA subframe, lateral arms, BA 4 stud hubs, disc's, calipers and lines..

UPDATE:
So after farting around for a hole day and getting my rear suspension set up to work with the Ba springs and shocks I found that the combo was WAY too long and I could not bolt the BA rear hub on as the shock was too long... so I umm’d and arrr’d and left it for a few days. Then Daniel came over to do his engine mount in his BG astina and we had another crack at it... this time I lowered the rear of the car but cutting the spring’s lol... I cut 2.5 coils off... which I thought would be not enough... but it turns out its just right Anyway as I’m not a massive fan of cut springs I bit the bullet and bought some BG coilovers off EBay. These will fit 80% as I’m going to get custom hats made so I can have camber on the fronts and rears. I should receive the coilovers early next week. I also bought a tacho, as my car doesn’t have one. I do have a Tacho dash off a laser but I’m having trouble removing the original one to replace it. Plus this is a small 52mm tacho that I will put just beside the steering column. I also recieved my Rear strub brace too. its nothing fancy just one of those Ultra racing ones from maliasi. the funny thing about them is you can low ball them and usually get about 20% off the prise listed. ended up getting it from $100 with free postage I am also thinking about getting one of these aswell.

That lower brace looks like it helps, can you comment on general quality of ultraracing gear?
I've considered getting some of the ba gear as a base for modified braces...or just hitting up any of the boat builders 'round here, they know alloy bars and stuff. Keen to see this build develop. |

There not badly made hey.. I think for $100 there quite good I wouldn't spend $200 tho.. But like i said, no harm in low balling them and seeing what they will go to.
