Please god no. Use imgur.com, it's fast, simple and easy. Also would this bolt on to a BPT engine, or would the difference in injector resistance fry it without the GTR injectors?

Will get pics uploaded later. With regards to your question, the best combo is installing the GTR injectors, ecu and afm. I have all these with the exception of the resistor pack as im using it with my current injectors.

With this configuration, 350 bhp at the flywheel is possible providing you upgrade the turbo.

You only need the resistors when installing the GTR injectors because they are low impedance. Therefore as far as the ecu is concerned they are high impedance, because of the addition of the resistors.

Installing low impedance injectors without resitors with a GTR ecu could lead to overheating it and potentially damaging the ecu.

I've already got some 550cc drop in, plug and play injectors. So I'm wondering if the gtr ecu will be able to control them just like my current JDM BPT ecu?

The GT-R ecu will control those injectors no problem. I recomend installing the afm. This way you'll have no overboost cut.

Can anyone confirm that GTR cams are any different from GTX ones? The only source of info I have is protegefaq and it reckons the cam specs are the same. Plus that AFM looks exactly like my current one, hrmm.

The cams are indeed the same. I can guarantee the ecu and afm are 100% genuine GT-R items and in perfect working order.

The afm has a different electrical specification to that of the GTX so although it looks the same this afm will max out alot later.

Sounds good. ECU code definitely matches up the JDM model and i'll take your word for it on the AFM. I've bookmarked this thread and will see if its still available in a few weeks. Thanks for the info.

you can also prove the genuineness of the VAF and the cams by taking pics of the part id stamping/sticker

Do you know if the looms are the same for all models this motor came from and what are the differences between the cams/ecu. Are there more parts to this puzzle?

The GT-R ecu and afm will plug straight into a GTX bypassing the fuel cut, there is no cut with the GTR ecu. This is the best combo for a GTX, will produce 350hp at the flywheel with a decent turbo.

GTR ecu
GTR AFM
550cc rx7 injectors high impedance

All the above are plug and play. Fitting a safc will yield more power by fine tuning the fuelling.

The GTR and GTX loom are the same with the exception of the injector wiring for the inline resistors on the GTR.

The cams between both motors are the same.

I have posted a pic above but due to me polishing the manifold cover, afm with t-cut the writing has rubbed off the sticker.

The GTX afm doesn't have the mounting points for the injector resistors as this does.

Both have been removed from my car due to me going standalone management.
