Woohoo! Another Missing Link fixed....

Well it's with a very happy happy grin I write this post.

As you all know we've been having a lot of trouble getting Stinky up to the standard we thought he was at when we bought him. There's been a few things that we've delat with over the past 18months that have been on-going due to parts and stuff and yes there's still a ways to go...

BUT! Finally a bright light of good news again!

Thanks to Rupewrecht we now have a Fuel Pump Relay Assembly, BPT Knock Controller and the associated bracketing!

While it's not in the car yet I'mn hoping to get it in soon, and finally have a fuel system that controls the pump correctly, and knock response appropriate to the BPT instead of the F2T controller I am currently using.

Above: The complete assembly, Now known as a "George Forman" thanks to Dogo!

Above: The Knock Control Unit; A BP26 unit instead of the F2T type I have been using.

A.

George needs a good clean-up and to be anodised, pink is a prety colour.

Meh, if it didn't come broken, you wouldn't get to experience the joys of fixing it!

Fixing/restoring my laser is/has been the most fun. I get to design bits in CAD and have them made up cheap, and there is still a plentiful supply of most things that I have needed so far. The best thing is, I can do most of it myself with the help from friends while learning a great deal in the process.

Happy fixing!
Gav.

I can confirm this a part that needs to be replaced with a BP turbo import engine. When I cracked open the one that came with my engine it had water in it. I wasted three months trying to work why my car wouldn't start because of one of those parts.
