Not on the road with general driving but if you give it a run through twisties you can notice the chassis stays more rigid and doesn't flex as much. Will be good to test out on the skidpan next time.

So on Friday I rushed home to collect my stuff and head to the snow when I notice a package near the door. The autoexe intake from Rupe had arrived but I havnt had a chance to put it on.

Does anybody have the instruction sheet or pics of where the bracket bolts to in the engine bay and if looking at the intake side on does the MAF sensor sit low or high its a bit hard to tell if its the intake sits one way or the other once mounted?

Intake has been in for 2 months now. Drives a lot smoother and sounds awesome. Replaced my fuel filter that's been in for 175,000 and also the standard suspension was replaced.

On Anzac day RTDC held a track day on Eastern Creek south circuit. This track is ridiculously fun almost like a big go kart track. Its relatively a lower speed track but tight and technical.

This was my first time on a track and didn't really know what to expect from the car. Ended up with a 1:12.787 and pretty stoked with that as it was mine and the cars first time out hardly any mods except minor handling and on street tyres with full trim and 3/4 tank of fuel. Even had some 86s under me.

Sweet to see you got it on track, we had a local drag event at casino recently and it was great to see a contingent of 4s' turn up to have a crack.
Can you post up what was required to enter the event, fully regoed vehicle, insured, that kind of thing and point out how easy it is to get involved?

I have a CAMS L2S license and am a member of a CAMS affiliated club, this track day was run under AASA so you could of run with their license although CAMS cancels out other licences. Due to it being run under AASA rules I didn't require a fire extinguisher and battery triangle sticker or tow stickers.

Generally normal car insurance is void/doesn't cover motorsport or driving on a racetrack. You can get a special insurance but it will cost you a first born.

Rego or no rego doesn't matter at all.

Also doing some maintenance on your car will prevent issues rising when on the track so oil+filter, air filter, check coolant, gear oil, brake fluid and a good set of pads/discs help a lot as basic prep.
