eunos 500 engine swap
Hi, I have recently purchased an eunos 500 (92) with a cooked engine
aswell as a 2.5l mx6 engineto replace the old 2.0l. I bought the mx6 engine from ROLIN imports and they said it would bolt straight in. I was wondering if anyone has done this change before and if i need to drop the engine and gear box out from under the car or if the engine can be taken out by its self. I havent had a chance to look at it yet but would like to do it as easily as possible. Thanks Aliano |

First off, I can't really provide you with any assistance relating to these engines/conversions, however I do recall people swapping a 2.5 into a BA Astina shell stating the intake manifold on the 2.5 doesn't clear the bonnet, so having to swap the 2.0 intake manifold onto the 2.5 litre block.
There are a few sticky threads (and probably a few non-stickies as well) in the Forced Induction & Engine Conversions sub-forum which are likely to provide some help to you (although again, they relate to BA shells - I presume the Eunos 500 is either a BA shell or closely related to a BA shell). |

Eunos 500
Thank you for your help, I'm not sure of the body type (BA?) but will
have a look into it. I guess i'm lucky in a way as i still have the old engine and a lot of the parts are interchangable by the sounds of things. |
