Cluster Plastic Protector Restoration?

Installed some aluminum rings for my cluster today looks nice, anyway the protector plastic that goes on the outside of dash had a few white spots that I could not get rid of even with PlastX as well as good old soapy water so I got ****ty and started sanding it with the PlastX smeared all over it.
From there on just went from bad to worse as you can imagine the final result. Foggy as can be.
What are my options now apart from buying a whole new cluster and does anyone have one willing to part with
Would a professional bring it back to life and where or is there no way..

Doubt it would be easy to post just the lense but I'd sell you one with low kms (150-170k) for way less than that.

You can fix it, but you need to use better polishes and work your way up to 2000 grit sandpaper.

Go to autobarn. $40 for a headlight restoration kit.
Comes with 800,1200,2000,4000 sand papers, a cleaning compound and a plastic polishing compound/uv protectant layer.
Follow instructions.

It sent my faded yellow headlights back to clear as day.

It looks scary as you go cause it looks worse before it gets better.
That faded cloudy look you've got going there is how my headlight lenses looked before I applied the polishing compound.

I know it's not quite the same but results should be similar.

Guys the thing is I did some real nasty scratches to the lens though, you would laugh if you knew what methods I'd tried
First I tried a sponge and soapy water, then went and purchased the PlastX and rubbed it in like a mad man, think I went trough half a bottle then the more frustrated I got the sillier I got, 320 grit dry paper, only one I had laying around then after so many nasty scratches I dipped it into slightly filled bath and applied steel wool
Every time I got it out of the water the scratches were apparent but it looked clear-ish.
However as soon as it dried it went really, reallyyy foggy, the picture probably makes it look amazing compared to how it really looks.
Would those kits definitively work because 20+40 would almost be the price of new dash...

Ended up sourcing the lens locally at a very good price. What are difference! Now how do we make it brighter? Some leds? Anyone here done it. Whole interior must be using warm white ...
