Exclamation FS: [QLD] BG Astina 326hp 12.1sec - SOLD

VEHICLE SOLD as of 8 Aug 09

Item:
91 BG Astina 323

Location:
Near Ipswich

Website:
http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat....aspx?R=7117648

Item Condition:
F'ing Fantastic

Reason for Selling:
Have found another love interest.

Price and Payment Conditions:
$15,000 o.n.o

Extra Info:
Most of you regulars will know the story on here...If you haven't already clicked the carsales link, this is taken from there.

Just about everything has been replaced on this car. Engine was rebuilt less than 20,000 km's ago, Resprayed less than 2 years ago and kept like new, wheel bearings, suspension, interior, door rubbers, the list goes on. I have also kept the majority of receipts from purchases towards this car. Oh, battery is also BRAND NEW (purchased last week) in the form of an AC Delco 600cca. Save thousands in modifications to get this sort of performance.

I also have heaps and HEAPS OF ORIGINAL PARTS/SPARES which are included in this sale. Just to name a few:
- 15" pair of rims with 205/50 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials (used for 1 meet, 6 passes, heaps of tread left on them)
- Euro rear spoiler that I'm yet to fit (never released here in Aus)
- Engine parts (almost complete spare), brake parts, driveline parts. Just about you name it i have it most parts I've changed, i have the original
You take the lot with the car!!

I'm flexible on price, eg, $14000 with none of the spares. There's definately more value than that, as the tires on the spare rims were $600 on their own...so i can definitely sell the spares separately.

Pictures: More available upon request. Have video too.

Rob if I may ask, why are you selling it?

Oh and just out of curiosity does it get epic torque steer, or is that countered by the custom driveshafts?

Jeez, I so wish I lived over there.....
For years Rob your chariot has been filling my hankies.
I so hope this goes to a similarly enthusiastic enthusiast, and you get the price you want.
Good luck mate.

Hi guys,

Basically, the main reason i'm selling is that I've fallen in love with another. Timing has allowed me to be able to purchase, but unfortunatly doesn't allow me to keep the Astina(s). No room and i really need the money back from the sale. Will reveal all when the new comer is in my garage (hopefully end of the week). There's obviously reasons why something else caught my eye, but i won't go into that here....nothing to do with the car itself though.

Mussing, torque steer isn't too bad. It's worse on uneven roads, or roads that have the tram track caused by trucks, but on the strip, it doesn't torque at all.

Geetee, thanks for the comments buddy. I too hope it stays in the community, that what I'm sure it will be well looked after.

Bumpity bump.

I haven't been proactive on selling this at all...it's been in my garage under a car cover. *oops*

Anyway, it's still for sale. For anyone interested I'm thinking it might make an appearance at Jamboree for the show and shine.

No, not really. Hence why i'm going to take it to Jambo to spark some more interest. Will put a price drop on it there and see what happens. Lucky I'm not desperate to sell.

Anyone who comes to see this car will not be disappointed. I can assure you.

oh mate i beleive you there if i had the money i would buy it, simply for major parts, it seems to be in very good condition inside and out and you seem like quite a perfectionist, and that engine would be done right

yeah so am I...Not sure if it's price, or the fact that it's NSW registered in QLD. Who knows...not my loss, I still get to drive it.

Cheapest option for me at Jambo is to race...so i'm thinking i may as well.
