Everything nice you have done to that car will be undone by a roll-cage...

What do you mean Gav?...it'll only be a 4 point.

I dont really need 1 for SL next year but the 180 rera end could do with some chassis strengthening, It has a bit of flex in the rear because of the hatch and no C pillar.

I know. Have seen Brooke a few times, but she didn't bring her man-candy.

You should come along to the coffee meet on Thursday.

Can't wait to see pics of your new rims!

So, since the better part decided to go to a conference I had the weekend to work on the car and get a few things out from under the bed.

Firstly:

+

+

Gets me to this:

I only bought 1 kilo of dry ice so I couldn't finish off behind the front seats yet. Will do that at TAFE.

So then I wanted to do more...its been needed to be done for awhile...

+

+

+

+

=

I didn't get enough time to mount and wire up the 2Ch amp, I'll do it when there's another conference...

Ive taken a whole week off in October to complete my 5 stud conversion with my awesome NEW wheels from JDM land...also doing a thermo fan conversion...

EDIT: Got some more better pics of the setup...

Finally saved up enough money for the 5 stud conversion (1.5 years in the making)...

While Im waiting for my rims from Jesse, Ive stripped the front calipers and am rebuilding and repainting them in gunmetal to suit the wheels...

New seal kit from Nissan (R33 GTS-T)

The front caliper stripped and ready to be prepped and painted.

Also found that my bonnet air cowling rubber seal has been flattened beyond repair and all the hot air from the engine bay is recircing into my cowling, blowing hot air onto me when the climate control is set to fresh...so I got a new 1...

Fitted...

Im off to strip off the rest of the 5 stud stuff tomorrow after work...Its going to be a long day...

Last but not least...when I was stripping my interior I found a huge water leak ( It had filled the rear seatbelt trim) on the Left Hand rear wheel arch from the roof...after a few days of scratching my head I found the culprit...nothing some window cleaner and an airgun cant find...

The leak in question...

Got some white sikaflex from AB and cleaned it up good with brake cleaner, then applied and allowed to cure...

No more leak...

It allows you to unstick the sound proofing/underlay material out without making a mess, as it comes off in one sheet

^^^ Bingo...

Got a few more things last night...had to take all of this off another S13 and ship it home after work. 3.5 hours work with hand tools...I fell asleep in the shower...Bahahahaha

5 stud hubs (S14 front hubs/ R33 Rear hubs with internal drum handbrake) & R33 handbrake cable with adapter.

R33 rear brakes...

Ill be rebuilding and painting the rear calipers before the conversion is complete.

The rotor dimensions are a huge 300mm on the front and 280 on the back.
The S14 LCA's for the front also increase total track by 10mm...

Finished prepping the front end stuff for the conversion.

Front calipers after being rebuilt and painted...The colour changed heaps when the clear was applied which was kind of a bummer but it still suits well with the wheels that are coming hopefully...didn't want them to stand out much.

Modifying the front upright rock plates to fit the 300mm rotors...
(Right Before/ Left After)

The complete assembly all bolted up...

Had a bit of a setback, cleaned up the rear R33 calipers and found the left caliper was stuffed...the awesome guys at NISPRO threaded the caliper thread for the brake line so its stuffed. New caliper will be $120 from A1 Nissan Wreckers...not bad.

In spite of the bad news I also found that the custom brake lines I am getting made up will have male olive fittings to suit the calipers, no dodgy cut banjo bolts for me.

Yeah, put my grog in their when going to track events...

Thanks mate, alot of work..pretty much a full overhaul of the suspension...figured it would be good to replace all the 10yo suspension rather then just bolting it up and having it all **** anyway.
