I have had so many conversations about what is legal and illegal.
The official verdict is* that it has to be secured with a bracket so it does not move if you were to grab it and try to shake it. So far as to enclosing it in boxes / however you want to enclose it or secure it all it needs is a bracket to keep it sturdy. * I was drunk on a plane flight to cairns, and the guy in the row behind me was an air marshal / senior police officer. Source could possibly suck. |

sorry but those 2 are incorrect. in queensland you do not require the filter to be enclosed away from the engine. i think they are getting nsw rules confused with qld rules. a strong bracket with minimal movement is required though.
