hey guys,
just wanted to know whats a good place to start to tune up a stock a BJ?
because at the moment, my grandma can run faster than it

ive already got a custom exhaust tip done by performance exhaust, what else can i do?

Cold air intake, free flowing exhaust should open up some ponies, but dont be expecting evo like power...

How much money, goals?

What engine does it have as well, as getting the 1.6 to overcome its less then stellar performance will really require boost or a brain and some time.

just got extractors done today, i can hear the difference but power wise..not sure.

CAI will do a little. However as i previously mentioned the 1.6 loves boost.

Ive posted a few times on the topic of the 1.6 a search should yield some results. Most of it was in KQs project thread IIRC.

if u want boost, have the chocolate car, but u'd be a douche bag to boost a car when on p's.... Its basically a free for all for police...

the 1.6 isnt a bad engine i recon, but most will argue it isnt. dont get me wrong, its slow as sh*t, but it is one of the better options when turboed.
i wish to turbo mine but as it costs a lot, it wont be for a long time... if ever.

look under protege and the 1.6 kit is on there. ive emailed them about getting it shpped and its a little over 6k delivered aus. it aint cheap, but you get what you pay for.

and before you ask, dont convert to another engine as everyone will tell you, youd be looking at the same amount of $$$ to convert to a 2.0 as it would be to get the kit above, and the power of the 2.0 wouldnt compare. plus you would probably convert the 2.0 to turbo anyway to get some power out of it! lol
