I wasn't too sure about that, but I knew posting it would bring the corrections flying in

Don't be upset, me thinking I know everything about BJs just means I've got no life...

Went for a fantastic back road adventure last night. I'm still amazed by the grip of this thing, stock standard. However, there is a niggling feeling that once it does let go, i'll be upside down in a ditch.

Standard brakes are fantastic also. The BG, really needed a firm foot, where as the Sport is nice and touchy. Pulls up hard, time after, time.

Needs more hp though. The 4wd system seems to suck a lot of power.
And just think… I was very close to purchasing a primera.
Spotted another Sport20, while cycling to work. Looked really tidy with a set 17" RX8 rims. Might have to find a set of those...

Havn't been paying too much attention. But i think it'll work out about the same as the BG. Perhaps about 100km, on the bottom 1/4 before the light came on?

I used to be able to get 500-550km out of a tank of gas in the BG. Totally economical. I do miss a little. There is something kind of endearing about older less refined cars…

Welcome Sims. You must also be Sims from vorb.org.nz, I remember that BG Familia.

In terms of BG brakes, mine slowly turned to **** as I've cooked them over and over. Doing a full flush of the brake fluid, changing the front disk rotors and getting some good pads makes the brakes perform really well. My rotors were apparently all grooved because of my ****ty pads.

Thats the one! I was gonna fit a set of front pads from www.racebrakes.co.nz to the BG.$200nz for a front set, but well worth the money. Funny, i do miss the BG, but i am getting used to the sport20.

Especially after discovering last night, how well it goes side ways on gravel

Ohh yes, 4wd rather than front.

I hate to think what the stones do to the paint though. You might end up with chips all around the inside edge of the wheel arches.

True that. You should see the front of my BG, absolutely covered in chips. I think it might have been resprayed with really crappy paint or something.

What life without a few stone chips tho…
I know its probably all in my head, but the Sport20 just seems to keep getting better and better. Either its finally getting broken in, or i'm figuring out how best to drive it...

Nothing beats the back roads

For you Auckland drivers, i have a couple of roads you must drive.

a) Walkworth to Auckland, via Woodcock road. WIld, tight, windy road. Very little traffic
b) Riverhead Rd. Hang left towards Riverhead, prior to reaching Kumeu. Amazing little bit of road and very close to auckland. Can get busy at the wrong times. Comes out, by the BP station next to the muriwai beach turn off. You can get very light in a few places, so i pays to get a slow runs in prior to a speedy one...

If you're interested, i'll post some maps.

Riverhead Rd. I think I've been along there about 3 months back, for some paintballing out in Riverhead Forest. Wicked cool scenery.

I was tracking my workmates GTS Skyline through the forest roads. Pretty fun. So was the paintballing
