well seeing as i saw him disappear infront of me at nebo, i dont think the spirited driving had him worried (he had some bad curry the night before though apparently..maybe his guts gave up??)..but he was nearly hit a few times in a few places we stopped (narrow bits..) and was worried by one or 2 of the youngins on the cruise :P

he had a good time tho he says... and is looking forward to the drag day (and with northy's stivo's engine blown to smitherines, he may well be the only serious competition we have now )

edit: if things goto plan over the next couple of weeks, i may be crusing with superlows and CF boot next time least then someone will have something perdy belonging to me to take photos of

Actually speaking of custom rear ends on cars, on reflection I commented to my passenger several times how the Stivo was breaking rather late and up my clacker on a few occasions! I don't know if that was because he had someone giving him the same treatment and he needed the reduced buffer to stop safely? Or perhaps the abrupt stop would upset the tummy? Whatever, but it's expected that I almost run into the back of Nate on every cruise, and surprising (to me!?) that I was in a position to do the same to Twiggy this time around...

Ryan: The new sig is courtessy of our friend Dan "Indian elephants have the smaller ears" Rupewrhect...

i dont know if he would have deliberatly been up your date... prob uprated engine, with no uprated braking gear?
or maybe he just likes travelling close?

He was much quicker than I expected...and those stivos dont look half bad... hrmmm

i was no where near my limits going down the range before caloundra....

you can never judge on the speed of the car unless you know they are pushing it as hard as they can. the toyota could have had brake fade? or could be just telling gav to get a move along?

Yeah his car went great in the wet (I had to be careful with two bald tyres...), but I was too busy to look for him on the dry section when he was around, so I dunno where he was on that occasion. Going off what I've been told, they should outhandle our cars with some suspension mods...

Thought you were driving like a granny, my tyres went past their limit on the twisties before Caloundra though... Dunno why you were doing a go-slow on such nice roads?
When the Stivo was coming up hard behind me I was backing off to suit what you were doing when I caught up to you, not really any hurrying along to be done on those occasions...

Yeah, I ordered a new tyre today to replace the shreaded one, but I should prolly order 2 more, but I want to just get through the other 3 at the same time so I can get a complete new set with new wheels... My tyres have been around since the Photoshoot cruise 09/2004, they've done some big km's by now I expect.

Twilight: off topic here...but where do i start looking for prebent pipe for home made exhaust?...been googling all night and ... well.. i think i'm a bit of a tard when it comes to these things :P

maybe i should ask exhaust places?? :P

edit: oh and took your advice... loads of nail polish remover, hot water, soap, fishing line and 2 razor blades later, i removed all the salters badges, the RACQ inspection sticker, the window tint advertisment stickers and the "YOU MUST SERVICE ME AT THIS PLACE IN 3 WEEKS OR ELSE" sticker...

i swear the glue they use would survive a blast from 3kilos of C4...
