Early morning crew
It's 5.30am, I have been up since 4.30am.
I know I am not the only person on these forums who is up at this time of the day.. So who else is up before the sun? I was not supposed to be working early this week, but one of my co-workers went home sick yesterday so I have to cover his shift /me goes back to sleep.

I really wouldn't mind the early mornings except for the fact that it is not every day.
1 week out of 3 I have the early shift and it comes on the back of the late shift so I go from getting up between 10 and 12 and starting work at 1.30pm to waking up at 4.30 to start work at 5.30. Damned warehouse. If they started later so could I *shakes fist*

with our work place, there is a 4 week rotation, and 3 of those weeks involve the 7am start. The other week is a 9:30 start

I was up at 3.00am... but that's because I only finished work at 2.30 in the morning (bloody 12 hour shift, grr). I'll be up all night tonight too (finish at 06.30 tomorrow morning).

I get up at 3am each and every day
It adds up to around 3-4hrs more living than the rest of the world each day Lets use 3 hrs per day Thats 21 hrs per week extra thats 1092 hrs extra per year from now till I retire at 60 thats 32760 extra hours to experience life which sits in at an additional 3 years 9 months more life to live from someone who wakes at 6am each day And if we work with the fact that these people sleep 8 hrs each night then thats equal to 4yrs 10 months and 2 weeks Ive only got one shot at this so I am damn well going to make the most of it And by ther way Sleep is overrated |

Until yesterday I was up at 5:45am for work. New job and it's a lazy 7:00am, time for breakfast and a leasurly drive to work.
Bonus is that I'm home 30 min earlier than old job, don't have to suffer public transport and enjoy what I'm doing. Life's Good

at certain times during winter, i would get to my desk at work and watch the sun rise and then watch it fall at the same desk some 11hrs later. its screwed up when you know you have spent every moment of sunlight at the desk at work

I started getting up 8am and that is huge for me... Although I too work 10 hours plus a day I hate mornings. The only reason I started getting up is need more than 10 hours to be at work..(15 more like it ) Good Luck

I'm another 12 hour shift person, and it blows! My new roster comes in July 8th, we'll do 2x 12 hour day shifts (0700 - 1900) and 2x 12 hour night shifts (1900 - 0700), but the good news is we get 5 days off after
