oil cooler plumbing

I'm plumbing up a aeroflow 10c row oil cooler with an-8 lines.
are there any concerns with pressure, flow etc requiring the oil pump to be shimmed or such?
The sandwich plate has two npt ports for sensors so I can read oil temperature pre cooler ( or post cooler for that matter) making plumbing of gauges easier; would it be advisable to mount the electrical pressure sensor remotely on the firewall given my engine mounts are filled and vibration may be an issue?
Also the sandwich adaptor only really allows the an-8 ports to be clocked diagonally upwards, even though the oil cooler itself is mounted low relative to the sump level, any worries, or anyone running sandwich plates can advise on their solutions?
cheers dudes..

doesn't really matter what angle the ports as the will be taking the full pressure from the oil pump. pipelines making contact/interferring with intake manifold would probably more of a concern.

you can up the pressure relief valve by putting a few washer between the split pin and spring. google the normal miata searches for how tos.
