cymbal noise

hey another diagnose this noise problem, sounds like a cymbal being rubbed with drum stick. It only happens between 3-4000 revs under acceleration and back off, clutch doesn't slip, exhuast is not hitting but muffler baffles have corroded and it sounds full of stones when its shaken. Is this problem? No tappet noise, all belts new, timing spot on,no detonation and religiously serviced. Any suggestions?

There could be a stone or two between the cat converter heatshield and the cat itself, I had the same problem
