EOI: 2.3L to 2.0L MZR spin on oil filter conversion kit

Hi,

Looking at buying one of these spin on conversion kits. Takes away the horrible cartridge filter from 2.3L and allow the use of the regular oil filter from 2.0/2.5L.

Link:-
http://www.mazdastuff.com/product.cfm?ProductID=2869

1 = $114
2 = $159 - $80ea
3 = $205 - $69ea
4 = $252 - $63ea
5 = $298 - $60ea

Above costs are for non oil cooler type and includes shipping to my home location. Further shipping to another location will be $8-$12, to be confirmed.

Looking at doing this asap as the 20,000km on the odo just snuck up on me.

Ask any questions you like.

Ryan

Pretty sure it does, but just to check, this will be applicable to the 2.3L DISI engine in the MPS 3 yeah? Is this the conversion kit that has the spot to screw in a oil temperature sensor, because i am looking to hook up one of these gauges. ALSO, this site lists it at $35.94. This mean the rest of the costs are shipping?. Haven't checked, but should list this on OzMPS. May get some more interest there.
Cheers =]

As per original post. Yes costs include shipping.

Will not fit MPS as this is the non oil cooler type. Oil cooler types are available also from the same website. Could be added if someone wants one.

Non oil cooler type useless to MPS owners, so did not post on there.

Not sure about the extra spot to screw in an oil temp sensor. Only has the oem spot for it. Either use a sandwiche plate or brass t piece for a extra sensors, as you would on a BP or FS engine.

Yup that's the part. The water to oil type oil cooler sits on top of the housing.

And yeah that sandwiche plate would work.

Just had a look at the costs. It would be +$30 to order one of those. Shipping is the same costs.

Now I will take your good advice and post on OZMPS.

Edit// Just took a look at the shipping costs.

1x unit +$78USD
2x units +$88 or $44ea
3x units +$98 or $33ea
4x units +$108 or $27ea
5x units +$118 or $24ea
Good guess each extra kit is +$10USD for shipping.

What are these shipping costs for? Why are they so much cheaper? Little confused lol. Pretty sure gen 2 MPS didn't need this but few gen 1 guys may be interested. If you post up there I'll contact you from there but I am def interested.

that was the shipping costs alone. not include the cost of the units.

non oil cooler type = $36
oil cooler type = $66

If you are looking at it as an individual basis, below is what it would cost you. Also add whatver a 3kg post pack is to the below costs.

1x 36/66 + 78 shipping
2x 36/66 + 44
3x 36/66 + 33
4x 36/66 + 27
5x 36/66 + 24
