The SP20 has the rather curious combo of 5x7s in front doors and 6.5" dia in rear doors.

A 6.5" can be put in the front with the use of an mdf spacer as an adaptor. A 6x9 is a NO WAY proposition. Sorry, supergirl, that won't happen.

Any "adapting" in the front doors will most likely require a bit of slicing the inner of the door trim. That is, there is a moulding on the inside of the door trim which fits exactly around the 5x7 speaker so to use anything else esp something with a longer throw (like my Morels with 3" voice coils....) you need to do this.
No biggie, just a Stanley knife and 30 seconds....

As for sub bass, there is bass and there is bass.
Done properly, it should complement and integrate with the rest of the sound of the system, NOT overpower it.

A pair of 7x10s on rear shelf AND a sub is just plain stupid in my opinion. Rear speakers should just be "fill", the front speakers are the Main Attraction and provide stage and image.

A correctly set up system should integrate well enough that the sub bass will appear to come out of the front footwells even tho the enclosure is mounted in the boot/hatch. All in the installation.

And yes, mine does

And the effect is awesome, once heard cannot be lived without.[/colorost_uid0]

Totally agree Critter, that's the type of setup I'm gunning for. I don't want the bass overpowering everything, just complimenting the standard speakers.[/colorost_uid0]
