Theo, that's a bit rich. Adam rang up a while back and was quoted $1000 - still way too much. try OzeParts.com for some though, maybe they are cheaper.

The genuine kit is a little rich, the switch alone cost me $112 (It looks richt and fits the hole exactly )
You need the switch, plugs into existing wiring located behind the inner right-hand blank under the instument cluster. A relay, plug is located behind kick-panel in passengers footwell. Lights, see Canberra CAI day photos for location of plugs neer headlights. And last but not least patience, you will find it easier to remove the front bar and fabricate brackets for your new lights (with these prices I'm guessing you'll be going aftermarket. Rod

er.... if they are charging that much for just the lights, how much is a front bar replacement for a V6? My BG bar only cost about $600 painted.... no foggies, but add that price to the fogs and thats one ridiculously expensive bar? If the bar and lights is cheaper, couldn't u just stick that on a 1.8 car and sell your current bar?

The lights would be more expensive as they are a low turn-over item (only used on the V6). The front bar would be a higher turn-over item due to the quantity damaged in accedents etc... they don't sit around collecting dust.
Some items are very cheep, the rubber pads for the brake and clutch pedals are about $5 each. Rod

Hella do a set of rectangle fog/driving lights which are very
close to the originals except dont have the curved corners. A set costs between $100 to $150 depending on where you shop. From a distance hard to tell the difference has fooled me a couple of times thinking I have seen a six and then notice the single pea-shooter exhaust. Regards Mal

yep - thaty's what is on the front of mine (but mine are the fog lights, not driving lights)
http://www.cse.rmit.edu.au/~e14455/a...tjskar_001.jpg Had to make up some brackets for them to stop the wobble of the front bar though...apart from that, real weet, and they just fit...

I will try and look up my part number for you...I think they were around $180 for the entire kit, but I also bought the Mazda Fog light swith that slots right into the dash, and you will need to add the relay to the Mazda wiring found behind the kick panel, on the left in the passenger foot well.

Surely you can pick some up from a V6 at a wreckers / importer somewhere.
Although, I haven't tried to find a wrecker / importer with a V6 mazda lying around. |

I'm sure most of us have tried a wreckers at some stage to see if we can get those lights cheaper than Mazda prices.....however..... the wreckers know how much they are, so they try to get top dollar for them.... They're not likely to be that much cheaper anyways
