That's if you rebuld the motor. Should be half that if all you're doing is swapping parts between your car and a half cut.

I bought from him, good seller (justin) im assuming that's who youve linked to. $2k would get you a running motor in your car...for how long before spending wads of cash is anyone's guess.

Edit: if your name is your birthday then don't bother doing the swap yet. Spend the money on suspension, brakes and general improvements.

Mine is still going strong with 267,000km on the engine and 380,000km on the chassis. I've been boosting it at 13psi since I got it 3.5 years ago and it drinks no coolant or oil. I've cooked the motor 3 goddamn times and the headgasket is still going strong. These aren't exactly crap motors.

What 'stuff' are you talking about? Are you talking about the wiring in the engine bay [the loom]? If you're talking about plugging the BPT into your current loom, no it won't work. But if you get the loom with the engine, yes it will work. The BPT has more/different sensors than a BP so it wont drop in unless you transfer the loom or hack the hell out of your BP one which is a pain in the arse.

You need to remove the BP loom entirely. As in, disconnect all the plugs in the engine bay, disconnect the ECU behind the centre console, and drag the whole thing out of the car. That's what we refer to as the 'loom' when we say that. So you get your BPT loom that should come with the engine, and feed it back into the car the reverse way you took the original out. Then plug in the right ECU behind the centre condole [JDM version is better than ADM Ford Laser version. More power as its set to run on 98ron fuel, the laser runs on 91ron] and connect the plugs to their right places on the engine/in the bay. Make sense?

I've got all the parts laid out ready to go in, so i can take some photos for you. But a hell of a lot easier in person that's for sure.

I'll be running my BP wiring just gotta splice in a new wire for the 4 point TPS and change the2L wire to 2M.....but mine is a bit different as I'm using the BP motor and putting the bpt parts onto it....only problem is the knock sensors not being in use. Depends on hoe much you wanna spend, I spent ages sourcing parts and got everything for just over $1000 for entire kit including fmic etc. But up to you, like derb has done I would just drop a bpt in, much safer for the engine

I don't have a camera derb. I've never owned one!

Also, did you get new pistons and rods rodger? Or just bolt ons? I paid about $850 for loom ecu, turbo pistons cams and intercooler.
