Advise Please!! Clutch Kits

Hi All,

My car just chews clutches and i can't seem to find a local builder to make me a good kit. I break a button clutch every 6 months

I have seen this kit please advise if this the way to go.

Competition Clutch Stage 3 - Can handle upto 150-200 % increase in power. they dam expensive R4000 to get kit into SA.

Car is making 300nm's of torque. still using The F series box. This also box number 3 but it seems to be holding out quite nicely.

As this forum is primarily Australian based, most of us use locally sourced clutches, like Daikin/Exedy. or Jim Berry ones. In other words we aren't likely to get a CC clutch from the US when we get get similar things here

Thanks Mate,

Answer 1 question do you think it is worth it to spend R4000 on a clutch.

I don't mind spending the money if it means my car runs nicely.

A mate of mine had a STAGE 3 clutch installed and went from a 14.6 to a 13.6 on the 1/4 mile but he drives a civic with NOS no changes were made to the set up just the clutch.

Based on that i think it is a good investment.

What u guys think?

Seriously, if you're that serious about getting a clutch, ring Jim Berry in Brisvegas Australialand, and see what it'd cost to get one shipped over, cause you're probably gonna need to import one anyway and a jim berry clutch will sh!t all over anything from the US...

Brisbane Race Clutches, look them up...

BTW, what's a stage 3 clutch?

Well, to answer your question, my Jim Berry clutch was about twice the cost of that CCI one.

It's a carbon 5 puck clutch with 2100lbs clamping. Very progressive, and great to use.

Okay will give Jim a call then.

The local clutches are not worth it cos they run down in about 6 months. Priced a double diaphram set up I nearly fell over when I heard the price b/t R9000 and R15000

All I want is for my baby to bite from the line and run through the rev range like bat from hell without having to feed the power as I do now.

Thanks for the feedback!!!!
