They turbo well if you are prepared to get forged rods and drop the compression by replacing the pistons. You also need to remove the VICS butterfly, otherwise it will grenade in your intake under boost. Your looking at $10k plus done properly...

countless people in the US have blown their FS-DE engines cos the rods are too weak for boosting (among other issues)...Even STOCK dealer delivered Mazdaspeed proteges which run 7psi on the same engine with stock internals have put rods thru the block with relative ease.

Speaking of Rods, Dfvadar put a rod thru his block at 4psi or something...

Hmmm, the power is a non-issue, it will create as much power as you're prepared to spend to make it (stock tune is 135-145kW ATW). There is some additional stuff that needs doing on the HiBoost kit for it to work in Australia. Ask wiredone on here, or DRTHVDR about boosting. Or they can chime in anytime they like if you're lucky.

If you've got the money, it's a viable solution.

The US boosted version is still only on very low boost. Stock internal FS motor + boost don't add together very well as stated. If you really want boost have a look at this: http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7331

My favourite of all the RX series. RE Capella with the twin head and taillights is a classic too.
