Just a little bit of doof
I had a 12" kenwood enclosure running off a 5 channel amp but it shat itself a while ago and i am sorely missing some bass, but i need my bootspace.
So i was looking at one of these http://www.fusioncaraudio.com/austra...2-product.aspx and hooking it up to the back seat. my 4 channel amp is hooked to the back of the split seat back in the drivers side. Current Setup * Clarion DXZ766MP head unit * Fusion PP-AM8004 PowerPlant 4 Channel Amplifier 85 Watts RMS per Channel @ 4 Ohms * Sony XSGT6048X 6in 4-WAY, 300W front speakers * JBL GTO603 6.5in 2way rear speakers Not worried about outright volume, just looking for a little extra punch Opinions.... I did some more research and it doesn't look good, doesn't seem to pack alot of punch at all
RE-SS18 Peak Power Rating 600 Watts RMS Power Rating Amplifier: 100 Watts Subwoofer: 100 Watts Frequency Response 20Hz – 120Hz I think i may have to go to a 10" in a sealed box and get a mono block unless anyone else knows of any alternative |

The only good all-on-juan solution is an Infinity Basslink powered subwoofer: http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...&Region=EUROPE
If you can be stuffed looking, you can get these off eBay from America. I've never heard a bad thing said about them. And you can also get a much bigger fancier version if you like. They are expensive, but cheap if you consider what goes into an amp/sealed enclosure and the actual speaker if you buy a custom system... Gav. |

Theres nothing wrong with the Fusion unit your speaking of and 600watts might not seem like much but if you are trying to comprimise space vs bass they are the best thing around. My friend has a large wagon and we set one of them up in it. Took it to a dB comp for giggles and suprisingly took out 3rd place with 108dB in single amp and sub class. Not bad if ya ask me. The key to big doof is the setup not necessarely the size.
