Personally if I was going double din it would be something like the JVC
unit like this.

http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?produ...&pathId=63

I got my heart set on the SHX705 which is a 700 on the website.

I think this is what you're looking for: SHX705

I'm actually looking at this one LHX505

There are minor differences between the US models and ours. surprisingly we seem to get slightly higher power..

I would go aftermarket, standard items are often worth more then say a kenwood or JVC, they do more and are cheaper in a lot of cases.

thanks for your thoughts.. had a look aftermarket jobs but want to steer a way from whole flashie display thing.. SHX705 does look sweet and I have had a play with one down at jb hifi and can pick it up for a song.

made couple calls to a few reckers and the factory in built sells for $700+

may have to look for a single din unit with out all the flashy stuff.. Iv used rockford decks before and thats the sought of thing i would go for again

your kidding at that price I would go buy something like my astina's headunit. Kenwood MP3/WMA CD Tuner Single Din Remote Control, I then bought a Din Pocket from Mazda for a BA Astina. all up and installed it cost me $370 and looks neat and not over the top.
