Who wants to join the M1 300 club???

Heya,

Just read the couriermail website, supposedly there is this elusive "M1 300 Club" that takes to the M1 between the Gold Coast & brisbane around 4am on organised mornings!

Story Here

All I can say is that these "middle aged professionals" need to take it to the track, and leave it off the streets. I myself have been caught up in the illegal drag racing on the M1 from partying down the coast, its bloody scary sh!t!!

Cheers
Marc

this sounds just a bit dodgey. if its such an exclusive club how did they manage to talk to them? oi you in the M3, just pull up here for an interview..

the drag racing along the M1 is well known, this isnt really anything new. if you want crazy racing try sat night around 1am.. nut jobs are out in force then

somehow i dont see a copter helping much either, it wouldnt be airborne at 4am, and by the time they get the call > start the engines > warm up > take off the racers could be halfway to caloundra!

sounds like they were hard pressed to find good news to write about today

Those guys that do the hold-ups on the HWY, only sprint from 80-140kph and then back off and then do it agian til their happy. This Club300 () is something else entirely. I couldn't imagine what someone passing me by another 200kph+ would even be like. Imagine if you changed lane into them?!?!?!?!

It isnt really that exclusive. If its the same one im thinking of, theres a mean as ford escort that produces about 650hp before NOS, crazy quick.

Stock gear box too nuts huh.

The thing that they fail to mention is that the cops sit on the on ramps waiting for them to go past and give chase sometimes. The guys just ditch them in the burbs and other surrounding roads. As much as i love the idea of going 300km/h, on public roads it just isnt my thing. Sure if they got closed and it was like an event or something but yeh otherwise...
