the compression is in the low end of the scale... minimum allowed is 128psi while normal spec is 182psi... maximum difference between cylinders allowed is 28psi

how is the ignition timing? how old are the HT leads? what about the spark plugs?
also, pull the cam gear cover off and see if the cambelt is still in time

from your diagnosis port behind the battery.
connect a wire between 'GND' and 'TEN' then connect a LED test light between 'Fen' and 'B+' if done right the LED should flash
A long flash for the start of the group and short flashes indicate the number for example 3 flashes will equal 3" no short flashes equal 0
the number you are left with is the error number (if there is an errors with the sensors) I do believe you can find the list somewhere on the net

Flat spot aye!
as said before it would be a good idea to check the compression over each cylinder.
you may wanna check
intake system, make sure there is no leaks..
fuel system usually the fuel regulator is in quite bad condition in older cars.
fuel pressure.
ignition system the spark plugs can tell a good story about what your engine is doing.
Resistance of the HT leads and distributor cap inspection in older cars with distributors it is common for oil leaks.
