Well I am going for a month, travelling from the west coast to east coast (Landing in LA) then heading east. Back to LA for the last few days again.
It's already costing me an arm and a leg! If it wasnt for the holiday, I would have already had my respray, all suspension an brake done. Lol. So doubt I will be bringing much back

Not exactly an update... But I'm bored!
Umm, have window tint booked in for 2 weeks time Have insurance on the same day Have EDM tail lights with auto exe covers on the way Still have LCA brace on the way. Was driving through some hills thisarvo... An I actually decided to let the engine spin out a bit (not going to lie.. But haven't ever taken it over 6K ahahahahaha) So let it go out to 6750rpm for the first and probably last time. Actually goes fairly good up there. I'm sure some headers and hi flow exhaust would do it some good! Engine runs so smoothly tho! Anyways, just put a smile back (mainly coz it my intake just sounded Hot as!) And I wanted all to know! Haha lol

Oh and that reminds me.. Where is the limiter on these engines anyways!?
Never hit it (obviously! Lol$ I found out on my last day of owning my BG... Was at like 7750 rpm But that's a short stroke compared to the FS I am guessing FS is like 6800 or 7000 rpm?

I've never taken mine past 5000, im a granny.
I have a random question, how long did you bake your headlights for in the oven to pop them open? I plan on doing mine tomorrow. |

Haha extremely rare for me to go over 5k too. But sometimes in the hills you can't help it.
And copied from page one of this thread: , used the oven, 50 degrees was a tad cold, so put it up to about 70 degrees for 5 or 10 minutes... goes nice and gooey then. lift the tabs and pry off (used a butter knife) managed to move the lens off about 5mm the entire way around, then the sealant was cooling and getting hard again, so chucked it back in the oven for 5mins, then came of fairly easily. Just make sure that you take the tiny little Phillips head screw out... On the sp20 lights its on the corner of the outer edge (if that makes sense) And to re seal... DO NOT PUT MORE ADHESIVE ON!!! because when you push the two sections together, its just going to ooze out onto the inside of the lense... What i did was just re asseble lights, push together by hand as much as possible... in the oven (at 70 degrees) for 5 mins, then push the rest together.. should go fairly easily and allow to cool.

Yep. Lol the black plastic section (back) has square tabs with holed in the centres around it
And the poly carb light cover has lumps.... These lock into each other. Lol If that makes sense. But seriously... This is a verry easy job!! Pretty hard to stuff up! Just pull the light out of the car and have s looksie. Oh... And please take globes out and rubber dust covers off... Lol And don't forget that tiny screw! So yeah, way I did it. One light in, once warmed up.butter knife to pop up top tabs, separate 1mm or so, pop side tabs and bott tabs and separate. Just enough so they don't lock in. Then separate as much as possible until it goes hard again. If you are finding it really hard to separate... Then you haven't left them in long enough! Lol Don't rush it tho. And don't go over 70 degrees. You are better off putting them in 7 times heating them up and going slow than cranking the temp up or just ripping at it. If you do this... You will break them. Lol

That kind of makes sense. I'm sure it will be much clearer when its out and i can see it all.
Im fully prepared to buy new lights (Rupey baby, im looking at you) if i destroy them. They are already burnt from a buffer i would say (previous owner) So i wont be so depressed. But i will be defiantly be watching it in the oven. Thanks Man |

Not according to Edwin *shrug*
Either he's incorrect or JDM has a higher rev limit.

Just having a look over this thread, and I have to say that is one hot car! The wheels suit it perfectly, and the ride height is sweet
What colour would you go with if you respray the car?

Ahahahahaha thanks heaps man... Gna make me blush! jks
And I love the colour it is. So just respraying it in that. Got few tiny dents that annoy me, scratches and what not, clear coat on drivers side is a bit sun damaged. And I just want to clean and freshen the car up! Hence why I want those AAC bumper brackets. Details on the spray is... Stock colour, finally take those damn door strips off, debadge the boot lit, weld up antenna hole (no antenna, just run a strip one in rear window). Centre of roof black, and center line on bonnet black, autoexe grill reprinted black, autoexe tail light covers (on the way) will be black. And I wand a DG rear ad on lip too And thinking of getting a subi front lip and doing some fiber glass work to make it fit properly and change design a little. Will get a good pair of headlights (good lenses) and paint those black too at the same time. Probably put a light smoke film on too. Still haven't got around to doing my foggies in gun smoke tint. And got to eventually order those clear indicators. Doing a bit more suspension work in the mean time, and sorting out some big front brakes ATM. Just got a hugeeeee list of things to do, most of them small. Eventually the car will get there!

Yeah, I am making everyone of my body mods black basically, an keeping the rims silver. Basically making the body look as clean as possible is my aim. And have the rims as a highlight.... Kinda like a feature wall I suppose.
And yeah, decided that a nice smooth roof is the way to go Still want that stubby antenna. Not getting the respray till the end of the year. So eventually I will give it away to someone. Lol
