I've looked at the same swap. It would get me factory 16" wheels. The only drama is the axles on the V6 are larger than the I4.
Having new shafts made, passengers side diff to wheel and drivers side from the primary shaft to the wheel would do the job.
You will most likly get the ABS sensors with the wheel hubs resist the urge to plug them into the standard loom and gain ABS, I still have the Climate Control Curse hanging over my head ops:

Now I'm all enthusiastic about it again.

Hmm! interesteing - i wondered about driveshafts etc...

and ABS would be a nice bonus, i guess. but i've lived without so far

But seriously Rod, If you want to do this, maybe it'd work out better to get 2 done at the same time. Where would do it, for that matter?

If you're seriously thinking about it then find the parts now, before the engine goes back in. It would be a real p@&*k of a job with the power-plant in the way :P
It is all in the service manual volume II (I have and can lend). You can check if wiring is insitue, from memory you will gain on the rear a sensor, uses a different disk and same calipers. On the front you get bigger disks and different calipers (helps fill those big rims and stop turbo charged engines) and sensors
I'd like to join you but I may need to swap the Astina for a Falcodore wagon in the near future due to a career upheaval. Mods are not on my priority list at present :x :x :x :x :x :x

Good point (about doing it now)...But unfortunately funds dont stretch that far right at the moment...dammit!

oh well, it's not like i need 19" rims...

But if i ever get around to doing it, i'll ask nicely to borrow your service manual please

Yeh,
The money thing sux, I know that big time

One of my pet hates is undersized brakes behind big wheels, a 318i BMW with M3 wheels looks stupid. Or a Lancer MR with 17"s

My Rx-7 series II will get series V calipers and suitable disks and the 15" Cosmo rims. Sad thing is you can't see the brakes

When I put my foot on the brake I'll know that I will stop and that is the best feeling 8) 220kmh at the 100m mark at Calder front straight and nothing but firewall, that almost left a brown stain on the seat. Gotta have the woah to match the GO ops:
