wouldnt it only be $313? as he wouldnt require the other engines detail? anyway its available and worth it rather than waiting for answers all the time. if you need one or two pages someone including myself can post them up

I vaguely remember someone had an electronic copy at some stage but it's fallen off the interwebs. If anyone has it I'm happy to host it.

Don't get a haynes manual, they do not cover the BA Hatch or v6.

Far out, maybe 100 bucks but more then 100 is a bit dear for a workshop manual.

you use the manual to do anything, rather than going to a mechanic and itll save you way more than the outlay of the book. i used it to swap my clutch, and while it ended up costing more than a mechanic due to buying all the tools etc, it saved me probably $3-500 of labour.
and subsequently when I swapped my engine three weeks later, cost virtually nothing, only paid $250 for the car/engine, and already had all required tools...

Yes, i am doing the work myself and i want it for reference, there was never any intention of going to a mechanic, so money saved aside i dont really see the relevance.

thanks anyway

huh? so youre going to do it blind... which may end up costing more when you tighten something too much... i dont see why, if youre doing something major, $120 is a large outlay in the scheme of things.

i appreciate all the bounds of insightful knowledge, but no. Im not doing this blind. This is the 3rd swap ive undertaken. Reference and Reliance and two different things.

Had i no mechanical knowledge/tools i wouldn't have bothered doing any sort of work.

cool if you need small bits for reference in the mechanical side of things in general (dont have the v6 supplement of course, but it covers a little on it) i can scan a few pages for you.
