Ok guys we ran the Astina up at Willowbank on the weekend and it ran a 13.4 with wheelspin in 3rd gear.

I have solved the gearbox woes and have recently spent $3000 to fix the prob.

Now i realy have to sell. I am asking $13,500! As a quick sale is needed. I now have near $50,000 in receiepts.

Hey Paul,
Would really like the details about fixing the gearbox issues. Wish I
had a spare 13k but I dont so just the info of who did the work and
what they did and any warranty that applies to the box would be good.

Yeah matey, the weakness seems to be in the diff and not in the gear set. The gears on the twin cam box are **** loads stronger and handle more power so as far as i know they left them standard. The diff itself has been rebuilt with stronger bearings and a few other tricks to stop it self destructing. I have also gone the locker again as it seems to hold the power well, although its a prick to drive slow. I have also upgraded to a 9" twin plate clutch for more bite. As far as warranty goes, there is none because of the power the car has and its regularity to destroy gearboxes as this is now the 12th one. If ya need more info just let me know.

Cheers mate..... Paul.
