I'm happy for the Sydney members to come pick them up from me direct or at the KK meet. I'll send a single package to someone in Melbourne and Brisbane and they can be distributed from that person. And/or I can pass the shifters on to JynX for anyone who is making the trip down/up to the dyno day.

I'll send the shifters as soon as I get them. They were meant to be in the seller's warehouse at the end of last week so I imagine they'd get sent out sometime this week if they haven't been already. :|

just a quick question for someone that already has one of these....what is the overall length fron the top of the thread (where the gearknob goes) to the pivot joint (big ball thing)....also, if someone knows the overall outer diamater at the widest point of the shifter shaft thatd be great also

Grrr... just got word from our contact in the US. The supplier stuffed up and only sent him 1 instead of 11 shifters for us. :x He's chasing them up now for us. Means more waiting though.

This was posted last night on the Protege forums by our contact.

I have all the Aussie shifters in my posession now.

tailland; i've been cleaning the warehouse out of B&M shifters for this group buy and to fill regular orders. B&M takes two to three weeks at any given time to restock a particular part number, and when they do they were only sending out 5 to 10 at a time. I've gotten them to send bigger bulk quanities of these so that I can better and quicker fufill all the orders.

Hopefully that means they should be sent off in the next few days and arrive here within a week or so. Sorry its taken so long, but we're not the only ones who are still waiting for our shifters.

They're finally on their way!!

Ok here is the deal;

The USPS website says that they offer Global Express which would be 3 to 5 days. In reality, the post office won't ship anything global EMS over a certain weight and these exceeded that weight. nice of them to offer a service they don't really offer. these are coming Air Priority and should take 5 to 7 days, for pretty much the same price as what the usps.com site quoted me for the non-existent express mail option.

the tracking number is VC 121 111 302 US, which I got with insurance. which leads us to another happy situation.

I did list the shifters as 'gift' merchandise. when it came to listing the value of these parts, there was no way to value them under what they were and still be able to insure them. my recent problems with the post office on overseas shipping has led me to not ship anything uninsured, especially not 999 dollars worth of shifters. there is too great a risk that they would get lost or stolen and i couldn't justify, for my sake or the customer's sake, slapping a thosuand dollars of B&Ms in a box and not insuring them. thusly, they ARE listed as Gift items, but the value on the insurance label and shipping label is listed at the cost price of these parts.
