I want it to handle well so slamming the crap out of it isnt really my aim but a nice drop would be good. If i find wheels that tickle my fancy for the right price i will change them mainly for a wider rim then diameter.

Gonna do the intake and exhaust and it may see some track days and skid pans.

So today I went to a skidpan day at eastern creek. First time out I did alright but need to adjust the handbrake so it bites more. Had a super fun time!

The protege5 badge I got is genuine so basically cant go wrong there. The old badge is a bit of a pain to remove as it has 2 tabs that pop into the body and pretty much a double sided tape piece glueing it on. Once the old badge is off (use force and pull sides forward with flatblade screwdriver or similar but try not to touch panel) then you can use a sticky goo citrus remover to get gunk off. The sp20 sticker was a huge pain In the arse as I used my nail to attack it over 3 days lol it came off in little pieces. The P5 badge has a sticky part and 2 new tabs that go into existing holes.

The roof racks pretty much live on there as I use my mountain bike often. Would recommend thule racks as they are super good quality.

The skidpan requires a CAMS license. I have a L2S which means you can do track days and hillclimb and motorkhana events but you also need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated club. CAMS license is $100 then club membership is around $80. Event costs vary but the skidpan was $75 and I would recommend it for anybody wanting to have a fun time in the car without being on the street. You also learn how your car behaves in extreme scenarios resulting in being a better driver.

These were the morning layouts with head to head timing. The afternoon one took up whole skidpan and was crazy will try to post a map up.

The 2 slalom ones are Australian Motorkhana Championship tests. The other in a non champ test.

I have the booklet that those came from. 55ish champ tests and 25ish non champ tests.

The sp20 stickers come off super easy with a hairdryer or heatgun

So today I received from Rupe a trust axle back cannon exhaust and a carbing rear strut brace. Will try to fit the strut brace on weekend but im not looking forward to moving all the boot plastic and foam away from strut tops.

Rear strut brace is in. Had to modify the seat belt guide top hats that sit over strut for it to fit. Angle grinder was used to shave a bit of meat off the over engineered pieces. Just have to cut slots in the boot plastics so the tabs can stick out. Will post some pics tonight.
