Hi,

Thanks for your help. However, I inadvertently forgot to add that it is an automatic. I presume that they are different?

Thanks.

well changing the oil in an auto isnt as simple as undoin the drain plug and filling it back up again, you have to take the auto oil pan off, change the filter, clean the magnets, change the pan gasket, all this has to be done with out getting any more dirt or stuff in the box while you are doin it

mine only cost $98 to get it done, that included a new filter as some places only clean it

it should be changed regualary like the engine oil, i say it should be done every 20,000

it actully says never to replace the auto gearbox oil in my manual but inspect i, so mazda never change the auto box oil in the cars 100000km like i took it to them, and this is the reason y my gearbox is F*&Ked

I don't know what happened, but my gears on my 1992 with pop up lights seem to be hard shifting a little when hot, especialy between gears 4 and 5. If I press my clutch twice it's OK. Could this be the gearbox oil or maybe the shift bushings need cleaning?
