Flashlights - Share and Review

Just wanted to know what flashlights you AGT'ers use. Post pictures and your quick review on the good the bad and the ugly to help others to buy the correct flashlight which wont die out in a month like those ones you buy at the servo.

Ive just added the important information that others may want. It also has a diffuser so the light can spread instead of point (good to use as a candle or for closer objects)

Fenix PD30

Specs:
- Cree XP-G LED (R4)
- 118mm (Length) x 21.5mm (Diameter)
- Maximum 265 Lumens
- Maximum Beam Length 115m

Approximately 2m from the wall without the diffuser on.

Review:

My first flashlight that i have bought and i must say that it is the best flashlight i have ever bought (so far). The distance this flashlight can throw to is amazing. It is small and light weight. I would recommend this to anyone who doesnt mind spending more than $50 on a flashlight.

P.S. I wanted to keep this short because i tend to write too much. And i know the images aren't the best but im not always out at night with the flashlight to show you how bright it is.

Haha bourbon if you didn't I was going to lol.
To be honest I'm quite pleased with my $9 servo LED flashlight.
Takes 3 AAA's and has lasted 6 months so far. Quite bright over a short distance and a pure white light s o it's my engine bay inspection torch

my phone has 2 killer LEDS and for anything more ive got an "aroura" from jaycar. got it 1/2 price @ jaycar for $40. it has one LED and takes 2 AA's... its bloody bright but cant focus the light, just produces a "spotlight" effect... which is rather annoying.

@ bourbon - I know what im going to use when there is a blackout now :P.

if any of you would like to recommend any of the flashlights you have could you input a bit of information about them? i might be buying another flashlight. maybe this one

I recently bought this headlight for my cousin which is almost as bright as my current flashlight. he uses it to work on cars and for fishing and i'd have to say its pretty handy. bad thing about it is that whenever he looks at you the flashlight is kind of "in your face".

I highly recommend Fenix as i have used 2 of their products already without any problems.

you can buy cheap flashlights from Dealextreme. But if you want Fenix flashlights and some other brands then i suggest Torchworld as i have found they are the cheapest in Fenix branded flashlights. Their service and delivery is very fast. 3 days i think. And they even give you a free chuppa chup

It's kind of funny.
only got a few LED one's and I'm not totally impressed

I got Mag lights for thoer things - My big ones are 3 -d's and perfectly fine.

My new garage light is one from the tool store - rechargeable I think from total tools -
24 or 32 LEDs' and it's got 2 modes full and half - it's not bad but big difference between Just fully charged and 4 days or 1 week down the road. I don't charge it often.
I got a battery version -round with 18 LEDS 3AAA's with hook and magnet - I use it for work. it's great because the magnet just allows you to fix it in place and use both hands to find stuff - tighten stuff etc. and I've dropped the living crap out of it even into a hot hydrolic tank. No problems Except the battery die out quickly liek you can tell from strong to oh weaker but showing light just not as bright.

then I got my original REd 2-C work supplied plastic thing with magnet - amazingly even with years of abuse - it's a total slut. I've found it in everyone else's toolbox.
strong and light's reasonable

my replacements are a 2C or 2D -Mag light. I got two because it kind of just worked out that way. Never took the 2nd one home.

the reason why i call them "flashlights" instead of "torches is because whenever i say torch i think of a stick with fire. although most people probably say "torch" i normally say flashlight. but to each their own. it doesnt matter what anyone calls it really.
