Thumbs down Crazy loud injectors

Hi Guys,

The injectors in my Laser SR2 (FS-DE) are ridiculously loud and I'd really like to do something about it. Drives me insane! Is it worth popping them out and getting them properly cleaned or should I just go and buy new ones?

Are there aftermarket options or should I be going to Ford/Mazda and grabbing a set there? Any idea on price if anyone has bought a set recently?

they're always loud, even when new
there's nothing you can do considering these are relatively high rate injectors for a non-turbo engine

you can reduce other mechanical noises by running a quality synthetic motor oil... it helps a lot... my car runs quiet at idle

Anyone got a video of their fs-de running so I can see if I'm just stressing about nothing? Im running royal purple and changing every 5k. Motor is quiet as a mouse, the injectors are just annoying

You can get new ones and by 10,000k's in once the unit is run in nicely it just gets louder till about 20,000k's and that's it.

A refurb/clean new O-rings screen etc does little might improve some performance.

but as noted hi load - anything pumping out over 200cc/min is loud. It's why they put bonnet sound deadener.

I've had same motor F2 - N/A is quiet as even open bonnet - Turbo is noise as stock no stock. All injector noise. 170cc/min -V 330cc/min. you open up a 1.3LT Yaris or similar then go and listen to a stock 1.1Lt motorbike engine - or a Suzuki swift GTI of the 1990's all you hear is injectors.

If it's not leaking no issue in performance of hesitation it's not worth touching. If you have pulsation dampener you can change that it can make minor improvements.

but if bonnet down you want it quiet add more sound deadener or add it if it's missing.

$200 each is a bit more reasonable haha! No performance issue at all, might be worth just leaving them.

Loud? Really? In the cabin with the doors shut I can barely tell the motor is running. With the bonnet up there's a mild tick-tick-tick but kinda blends in with the rest of it.

I can't hear them in the car, but if I'm outside the car and give it a few revs I can definitely hear them ticking away
