Its no ones cruise its an Astina Gt cruise but no one seems to be taking much interest besides you and me.

I only put foward some ideas cause no one else is, the fact that I am a local does help me with helping make plans for the cruise and im sorry if you think im rail roading this, how about you make the plans you have more experiance with it and arnt Too far away.

Ill just go with the flow im cool with what ever so plan away

I'd say anybody and particulary people who know Newcastle are welcome to put forward suggestions, I know nothing of the place and would need some guidance myself.
Personally I'd rather not go through the parking nightmare we had at Marina Mirage tonight again.... So some local know-how would be choice, and making sure our cars are safe and together as a group would be nice.
Stop carrying on please, I am not in the mood to read this $#IT on here thanks. Make constructive posts if you have to make any at all...

be optimistic, we still have over a month to get some people together the last small newcastle cruise didnt look like more than 6 people would go but on the day we saw alot more people than we were expecting.

I dont see why we cant get an ok turnout newcastle is pretty centeral to the people from NSW and we already have 3 or 4 QLD'ers committed. Another thing is I know of about 8 or 9 Newcastle members who wont miss this cruise.

So im thinking that with the QLD'ers, the Newcastle members and some people from Sydney we could see almost 15 or 20 cars maybe even more.

So rather than be pesimistic put some ideas in cause we all know that you can offer some valuable ideas, you have been on a heap of cruises and have planned some very successful cruises. You are probaly pretty familiar with the hunter valley so put foward a workable itenary, my ideas may have had some floors but that is because I havent had much experiance with cruises.

I think whatever you plan to do, make sure it can accommodate 20 odd cars, otherwise if we are parking freestyle scrambling for spaces it will be annoying and maybe a little hazardous for some. Plus if we can park to gether it will make for nice photo oppotunities. This "foreshore" sounds like we would have problems getting parking spaces, know any good spots?
And we will a special isolated parking space for Nate too...

Im not sure about the school holidays thing but as for some good photo spots maybe at the Vineyards would be good

or an Astina GT favourite bar beach car park

and there would be heaps of places on the foreshore to grab some happy snaps
-the grass below fort scratchley
-horsehoe beachcar park
-nobbys beach car park
-and if no one was around some happy snaps of 20 Mazdas on pitlane would look cool.
-King Edward park would be good thats where I take all my car happy snaps (you could stand on the hill and capture 10 or so cars and in the back ground is the sea)
-if you guys were up for a drive we could travle out to paterson and get some happy snaps in the park.

Im up for anything

Cesnock is about 30 or 35 mins from Newcastle, where are you planning on staying cause i wouldnt stay in a caravan park in Cesnock. If u were chaseing down cheap hotle accomodation chase down something closer to newcastle.

I live in maitland and I dont think it would be too pricey to stay in a hotel around here, plus its alot closer to newcastle and i would feel alot more comfortable parking my car here rather than Cesnock, plus maitland is only 15 or 20 mins from most parts of Newcastle.

Just my thoughts im not overly familiar with Cesnock it is the Heart of wine country if you were to stay at one of them fancy resorts you would fell comfortable parking your car, but in town I wouldnt be so comfortable Cesnock and Kurri Kurri are the two places in the Hunter people dont stay in because of its low socio economic state and high crime.

Run some other places by us Hunter Valley people and we will be happy to help.

yeah i just got a cheapish price on a 4 bed caravan park cabin there.

next option was just going the good old formule1 at newy. that'll do.
