yeah ditto that ...... i am allowing about $500 for the trip ...... thats two tanks of fuel to get there and two back @ $50 a tank = $200 plus two tanks for driving around = $100 and that leaves $100 odd for accom .... if we get an f1 room ... $55 for the dyno ...... and i i only have $45 left ..... ok make it $600

Hey all

Im sorry to say that we wont be rolling on the dyno. We also have some other commitments over the weekend (mainly evenings), however be assured we will be giving priority (were possible) to the AstinaGT meet. Totally looking forward to the cruises!

Ok, have just spoken to our Dyno middle man, and we CAN NOT do a Sunday run.

Sorry folks, but the Dyno owner has said it is out of the question.... *not happy*

However, we can still do Saturday and do the cruise/photo's etc on Sunday down at Tidbinbilla.

AND

*don't shoot the messenger here*

Can anyone cough up for deposits?
Please let me know what the verdict is BEFORE Thursday because that is when we want to have it booked and get a running order organised.

Ta all, be in touch soon!

Kitty

man doesnt sound like much of a way to organise a day on both the mx5 club and the dyno shop's side of things...like does the dyno shop really want the business??? unfortunately it's probably too late now to look for another place

anyway, how much deposit are we talking?

and another thing james - do you EVER work???

Suggestion QLD peeps.... Chuck some jerry cans of cheap QLD fuel in your car to minimise exposure to NSW/ACT pricing which is currently stupid for PULP etc.

I'll try and scrounge up all the 4c off vouchers I can for you guys.

CCoast. we'll know more after Kitty finishes talkign the Dyno and MX5 people this arvo but I can't see a problem - we have a solid base number and I'm sure there'll be flexibility...

Two ways are good, however we'll still provide maps with km markers to help with navigation. For the cost of a couple of hours to drive the routes and note them out, PLUS then printing up a few pages for everyone it's worth it for my/our peace of mind.

Thanks for the indicators on $$ guys lets us be a little smart about targetting things. Chances are we'll burn (BBQ) meat at least once through the weekend, during the days when it's warmer and of an evening try somethign a little warmer.

AFAIK Fireworks are still available here  as for the pron ops: I'm innocent.

A.

Noise laws would be the problem for the Sunday, you couldn't start anything before 11AM and then their would be so many complaints it wouldn't be worth the workshop doing it. As is I doubt the rollers will run any earlier than 9AM.
