not to throw a spanner in the works, but you should really think about aiming the subs INTO the cabin...lest you bassload the boot and things start sounding like poo :P

damnit! time to rethink everything

Haha it'll do as is for now. Certainly not the final product of the install, as i found out today the shd next door to my trimmers shop is a pro wood worker, and another mate is a perspex worker so theres plans for something bigger and crazier, but that will be done for Gold Coast Autosalon, this basic one will do for now.

looking very bright!

but damn...was hoping to see the rear seat pics. i'm looking forward to them

and have a rethink about the shifter boot - you'll be getting a b3m supplied twm short shifter soon - might look better to make the boot shorter so there isnt as much play in it? my boot (i made out of black kangaroo leather) has about the same look as yours now even with the twm shifter

dude that is bright!!!!...if its not hte final product, and you do play around with it as you go, i'd definantly suggest breaking it up a bit...but otherwise, top work. Can't wait to see the rear seats...i think they'll set it all off, then get everything back together and we can have a fair decent look at the .... red. so much red :P

Have to agree with twiggy on the shift boot...that thing is going to absolutely HAVE to be modified, without a shadow of a doubt. I can take a photo of what my boot looks like if you like (stock boot with TWM shifter) and it looks a bit crappy.. not to mention when the mrs spills drink, it pools in the boot and goes all festery and yuck....

but yeh, looking great.... think VERY carefully about how you light it though.... that much red, plus red lights could induce epileptic fits... try and get something that will contrast that red down a little.

But yeh, top stuff mate, top stuff.

go for a big single inward firing 12in, built in such a way that it pokes through the foam back rest over the arm rest you've built in the middle...that'll look terrific....you can then mount the other one somehow...probably inverted or something in the boot for extra good looks

Love the red. Love it. I say go all red - carpets and dash as well.
That's the sort of thing a show car is about - impracticality!

Reminds me of this, which looks awesome all the one color.

Yea i'm really keen to have the rears done, will be the highlight of the car. They're really good to sleep in too haha you sit in and are held in place then ya head rests perfectly on the centre

Im guessing the centre console needs to come out to fit the shifter so when its out ill get another one done to suit the short shifter. Can't wait for it to get here

Yeah it is a lot of red, so once we've got the rear seats and front seats in we're gonna sit down and consider what can be changed, we were tempted to trim the handles but im glad we didnt, that would have been too much.

For sure, i've actually got a car audio shop watching the progress and asking me about sponsorship (they knew the accord but never got to talk to me) so we'll see what they offer.

Once the rears are done we will have patterns so it wont be overly hard to change anything...obviously we'll have to pull it all apart but thats not hard so we'll see what time brings, the reason i started the interior now is it gives me an opportunity to put it in, roll with it and decide what needs changing prior to its show debut.

That is a lot of red, i guess its one of those things you go all or nothing. As i said above its a never ending project (although it'll be pretty much complete for GCAS) so we'll see how i go with it all, the plan is to do the dash and probably some c/f inserts....still not sure about the silver so theres a chance ill get those coated in a c/f look....at the moment not even i know where it will go haha.

The car that put this interior idea in my head is the [REDLNE] WRX.

Yeah i can't wait either, it sucks driving it at the moment coz we havent finished the door cards (i went to skirmish instead) so the rear doors are done and look hot, but the fronts are all the internals..and ive got the standard passenger seat in (how people stay in them i dont know haha) and the foamed up rears, so everything sthere but in the "being done" phases so i know its only a matter of days till the final product is done

yeah got the bonnet off some champ from nsw, pity coffs harbour was a hole haha

Never been a fan of interiors and stuff - yet I've worked a bit in the past on both sound and interior and I have to say this I like your colour contrast. I once suggested it to guy and Maybe calling it a supperman effect turned him off, but I like it.

Can't wait to see it totally finished it looks great.

Yeah I was worried about the colours but as soon as we finished some parts I threw them straight in to see and yeah it took shape from there
