Fuel pump change

Hey...does anyone know how easy it is to fit a RX7 turbo fuel pump to a 323f? Got one on the way and just wondered if anyone had done this swap and could tell me of any problems.

Cheers

do they even bolt up?

I know very little about fuel pumps. But I would imagine the shape has to be roughly the same to even fit in the hole....

Other then that, it shouldnt be too tricky, theres two fuel lines that come from your engine, return and pump (out and in) so I imagine the one from the pump connects to the pump, the return probobly go's straight back into the tank. Theres power allready there from your stocko, basically just have a look at how the stock ones riged up, and I cant imagine the RX7 one will be terribly much different.

no idea what a rx7 fuel pump is like but as long as its an in-tank pump its shouldnt be hard. It may take some mucking around to get it attached to the frame , but as long as its firmly attached and the pickup filter fits in the surge bowl you should be fine.

Walbros plug straight in, will flow more that you'll need, and are about $200

fit streight in does it, very handy i must say. I found one for just over £90

i Would be needing a new fuel pump as mine is on it's way out, and im pretty sure im gonna drop the BPT in, in the next 6 monthes. so if i have to put a new one in i might as well put the best in i can.

All i need for the swap is the G-series box, Drive shafts, Clutch slave cylinder and crossmember, After that its just the engine all the rest is done

Is there any importers of these, just a quick question

thank you all

I wouldn't say stright in, but they can be easily "MADE" to fit.

The rx7/Nissan R33/S15 and Mitsubishi VR4 pumps "bolt in".

Personally i'd just go with the walbro, that way you'll never have to replace the pump again, eg, for more power.

There are 4 or 5 different walbro 255l's. Not all of em will fit propperly.
