new white dials
hey everyone.
just recently i bought some white dials off ebay from germany. or wherever it was. they told me that they light up blue or plasma. but when i looked again after buying them i noticed that there is wiring coming off them. so in order for the dials to actually light up they need to be connected to an electric source. this is the link on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWN:IT&ih=009 what i was wondering was if anyone else has these or whether anyone has any ideas on how to connect them up. as there are no instuctions on how to do so. i've got them in my dash but i need help with the wiring bit.

i'd try hooking them up to the wiring to the stock dash lights. that way they should turn on when you turn the lights on.
bourbs installed these, i think he mentioned how to install them in a thread recently. use search

its got a couple of attatchments with it. it has a fader/dimmer knob and the actual on off switch. then the actuall leads to attatch the separate dials. this is a completley separate bit though. i'll see if i can get some photos

How many wires do you need to connect it? The one i have in my car sorta looks the same but i got it from another guy in the uk..
With mine.. I just earthed the black wire to the metal of the car.. and behide the dails i used a test light to see which wire turned the lights on and off and i used that as power. Can't remember which wire it is tho..

its got 2 wires that need to be connected. red wire and a red and black wire. the only thing i can make out from the german instructions it came with, was it needs to be connected to 12v power source.

yep the red wire will be 12v... but to when you turn your headlights on... and then the black is just a grounding wire... what i done was wired mine into my dimmer wires...so that way it turns on when my headlights do and off when i turn them off ...
