Hmmmm, not too sure as of yet, might just stay with silver, was thinking white, but that might look a bit to "boy racer"

and neither smurfy.... 18's

The specs are:

18x7.5 (+50) all round
most probably going to wrap them in federal 595's

and yes, i did consider gold too, still unsure :P

wow sitting next to the sp20 wheels doesnt look as big an 18 aha.
what i would do put them on and dont paint them yet so you can see how they look before putting money into a colour that doesnt go

well, that's the thing.... i really liked the look of silver.
made the car look a lot cleaner and just nice .... instead of rice :P
so that's probably why i will end up going silver, just because i know exactly how its going to look. and i loved it.

just dont want to risk painting it white or gold, or black or gunmetal etc. and having it turn out crap :P

Powder coating is the only real option for rims IMHO. Prices vary enormously

Dark coloured cars always look better with brighter rims, so silver is my pick

Mine are a gun-metal on a dark car. Go lookies if you want to see darker colour on a dark car.

Dont paint them black or gold, its been over done way too much now. I would stay the sliver.

I got them through rupe (via japan)
to get them to my door, cost me around the $700 mark, then by the time i get two of them welded and skinned, plus the cost of respraying, should be $900.

And yeah... Pretty sure i made my mind up last night.....

Silver it is

Bit of a small update,
Havent really done much lately,
just been doing some prep work on the rims.. Will be in primer this weekend and hopefully the following week will be finished and painted (with mazdaspeed stickers)

Also, Installed a New headunit a few weeks ago,
i went for the JVC double DIN head unit (No not a DVD screen..... i went for something useful :P)

i Got the KW-XR816.... Really is a Fantastic headunit, would recomend to anyone.
Here is a link with all the specs

http://www.jvc.com.au/car-av/head-units/kw-xr816

JVC have the rrp for $500 however if you shop around you can get for around the $350 mark.
Am ordering some JL audio front and rear speakers.
Then once funds permit will be getting a Kicker 5chanlel amp and a sub.

Will post some pics of the unit installed and the rims on the weekend..

Cheers,
AzzA

Well i am way over due for an update......

so... clocked up 137 XXX Km now. still going sweet.
Was having issues with coil packs so decided to go buy 2 brand new ones from Mazda and a new set of Bosch ignition leads

also, due to crappy Sydney weather over the last 2 months, i have only just finished spraying the rims...

here are the piccies.

Plan on having the tyres on the rims a week or two after new year, so definitely be on the car within a months time..... Oh also forgot to mention, some red rays wheel nuts should finish them off nicely

also planning on remove stock sp20 (faded) stickers and putting on some new sport 20 ones on the door (original spot)

enjoy the pics:

Undercoat (loving the matte gray XD)

Colour straight from the gun (no clear)

Finished

I got bored with all the rain so i polished up the valve stems

will be sure to update as soon as rims are on the car, probably with one million pics

enjoy

AzzA

sorry about the large pics of the valve stems..... they were edited and down sized, but photo bucket is stupid.

Alright!
Well the wait is finally over!!!

Here is a couple of crappy pics... will have to clean up the car when the weather is good and take a good photo shoot, still to fit mazdaspeed original decals and some decent looking wheel nuts.

Clearance?!

I ordered a set of Rays wheel nut and lock nut set in Black, and also matching valve caps.... however, the tubes for the lugs in the rims were too small, so they found themselves onto my brothers evo.
ATM i am running generic chrome barrel style wheel nuts until i find alternate options.

eventually to come will get myself a set of shocks and some nice lowered springs to finish the look i want. and some clear side indicators.

In other news.. clutch line split and blew fluid everywhere just managed to roll home
so replaced with braided line (was $20 more than a standard rubber line and definitely worth it... feels more solid)
and clutch and brake fluids were changed with motul 5.1

hope to post up better pics soon
Cheers,
AzzA
