New wheels for me :)
Hi all, I got new rims thanks to Dan this week. Mazdaspeed MS-01Rs 15x7 in gold, sporting 205/50 rubber on them. The rubber has 7mm of tread on them. I was like WTF as they are 2nd hand tyres. But all good cos I do not have to go out and buy 2 new tyres straight away. They are 20mm smaller diameter than the 18s, so the car sits 10mm lower at the front with them fitted. Will be used for motorsports only, so this will help with traction and steering. The rubber is more grippy and chunky than the kuhmo 18s. So I think I've walked away with a good deal for $380 total, shipped to my doorstep. And they sit 2mm wider than the 18s, so the wheelbase is wider also. The dish on these looks the sex... The extra bit of tyre wall is helping with the ride also. Still feel the bumps through the coilovers, but the edge has been taken off them. Around the corners, the car used to bounce a little on the 18s, not the 15s flow easier accross the bumps. More pics:- Ryan |

They look pretty good on an Astina! I've never actually bothered to install a set on mine, but they suit.

Only the 2 for now, that was the cheapo/tightass option as I didn't have the money for all 4 when purchasing 3 months ago.
But in saying that, a FWD car steers, accellerates and brakes all through the front wheels/tyres - so the theory was that I only need 2 on the front until I get super serious with motorsports. Ryan |

After having these wheels and tyres on the car for the past few weeks. I'm glad to say these are awesome. The extra little flex in the tyre wall has make the steering a little less prociese intially but recieved bumps well and returns feedback well also.
Grip from these tyre is better that the 215s I have. I am cornering comfortably 15% faster than I was before. All in all, I'll see my motorsports and driving imrove. Ryan p.s. Coxy's coupe is being held up by reground cams. |

i read somewhere that the weighed 6.2kg... dunno if true. so not super light, but much lighter that most 15s. super light would be 5.5kg, so 700g heavier ain't that bad...
