I had a car fall on me.... Pro tips inside :(

I paid to have my timing belt & water pump done because I'm
too old/injured to bend over the engine bay for to long a time.

Had my car FALL on me back in 1985 & right side of neck,
right shoulder & lower back gives a LOT of pain....

Even sitting at the computer is no joy some days

Car was on what I thought to be stable & level ground & I had the right
rear wheel off with my entire body in the wheel arch in a squatted position.
Now here's the "fun" part..
Made sure the car was in 1st, handbrake FIRMLY applied & the axle stand was
position correctly under the right of the differential housing.
Shook the car vigorously from front to back & sideways to check for stability
All good.... (Or so I thought)

Then I got into the wheel arch & a minute or 2 later I saw my friend go to the
engine bay and lean on the car - Yep..

Right rear slid & I was pinned - Luckily a 300(ish) pound tall guy ran over &
lifted the car enough so I could be dragged out !

So there you go, thought I'd done everything correctly but now over the past
31 years it's been crippling at times & has severely affected both relationships
& the workplace.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CAR SUPPORTED WELL !!!
