Osram Cool Blue Bulbs

Hey guys!

I'm going to be purchasing some new bulbs for my SP20 rather than getting HID's. At the moment i'm tossing up between Osram's Cool Blue Intense (4200k) and Cool Blue Hyper (5000k).

I was just wondering if anyone here owns a set and what they think of them.

Will introduce myself properly once i take some half-decent photos of my car

Thanks!

rather than get anything with "blue" with them, you're better off with stock bulbs!
if you want a true upgrade, then get osram silverstars or the illegal osram hypers (which lasts longer but it doesn't add any more glare or electrical load)

Apparently the cool blue intense ones are legal. Whether that applies to us, i'm not too sure .. could just be for overseas.

Oh really? I thought it would be the other way around seeing as the hypers are supposed to have more of a blue tint then the intense ones. But thanks, might just get the hypers and see how we go!

any time you add that blue crap onto the bulbs, it traps additional heat in the bulb which reduces its longevity... the tint also TAKES AWAY light

simple physics mate! think about it for a second... why do people tint their windows? to reduce the sun light from getting inside the car! so the same logic applies to light bulbs!

be careful with the osram hypers... they have two variations... a small over watt from standard H7 and the big over watt version
DO NOT get the much higher wattage ones... you will melt the headlights and wires, potentially causing a fire!

Yes exactly, which is why i thought that the intense ones would be considered more of a true upgrade than the hypers..

Okay, thanks! Will be sure to check that out before i buy them.
