'90 sohc to '92 dohc engine swap

buying another bg, 92 sp model. is the engine swap to my sohc '90 model a hard/long job?
mates dad is a mechanic.
would I have to get just the engine swapped or gearbox and etc?

you can just swap the engine, loom and ecu over. but since you got a whole car, might as well swap everything.

or not swap, and drive the sp instead? unless it has a major fault of some kind?
