Relocating Door Accuator tips (NON Standard)
Hi all,
So I got some new door skins from Clean_Cookie, and need to help relocating my after market door accutator, I need this to power up my central locking system, Where it was located suits series 3 doors but not series 2 doors, Any ideas? Pictures below I have the speaker splits on the bar where the window comes down |

not sure if you saw but it has them mounted to the right of that yellow clip pulling down. I stuffed around for ages with all sorts of metal to get mine to work using a stock one... didnt realise I could have bought an aftgermarket kit DOH. and you have dibs on the steering wheel!

Still can't work this out lol its driving me crazy,
Also does any one have ideas how I can program the series 2 lock/unlock button to work with my remote central locking, I was thinking of taking a remote apart but I can't understand the stock circuit board that is attached to the switch |

no BAs came with remote central locking. yes they did have central locking though.
i have an aftermarket kit in my car to turn the central locking into remote central locking. the reciever activates the actuator that pushes/pulls the locking mech in the drivers door. the standard central locking kicks in for the other 3 doors as normal. |

I understand that Ryan,
I think you misunderstood me I have the remote locking kit, the after market one I bought, Just trying to relocate it after changing from the series 3 door skins to the series 2, Also on the series 2 doors there is a Door Lock/Unlock button that I would like to wire a remote into so that then its press it sends the singal to the remote to lock the doors like the window lock button i guess. |

why the 'f' would you wanna do that?
anyways, can you just spin the actuator 180 degrees and have the bulk of it facing into the door frame space. i'm guess cos of the hidden compartment being higher in the s1/s2 doors compared to the lower s3 door interior, that the actuator it hitting the actuator? |

I like the series 2 doors better with the compartment,
The problem is where it was mounted there is now a ball on the trim where you use to push the door out and pull it in Like where the series 3 has the pocket you put your hand in |

That button you're referring to sends a negative pule to the central locking relay down in the passengers footwell. Ill see if I can find the wire colors for you. You'd have to run your own wire and tap onto it. (2 wires I should say)
Edit: http://www.club323f.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30395 Alternatively you somehow hook that switch to the drivers door actuator and let it do the rest

You realise pushing the drivers lock locks all doors though. Sane function of that button which is why it was removed in s3. Good luck making it a lock disable function though as opening any of the doors will never be able to be stopped without mechanical devices, which is so much work
