August Cruise - Somerset Dam

Hey guys,

Time for another cruise me thinks!

This is what have so far:

Date proposed: 10th of August

Meet up time will be 10.00 -10.30am.

Meet up will be up at Mt Coot-tha up past the lookout. Instead of turning left to go up to the lookout, turn right at the round-about and we shall be congregating at the top of the hill on the left. There is a fair amount of room for cars as people usually park there to go bushwalking etc.

Here is a pic of the meet-up point, we'll be meeting where the little orange man is..


After talking smack for 10-15mins, well be taking the voyage down the opposite way down, past all the local TV stations. Once weve hit the bottom, well be turning off and heading through Bardon & Redhill and onto Waterworks Rd to Mt Nebo & Mt Glorious.

Turning right at the Fernvale-Kilcoy Rd following that for 31.9kms. Another right turn onto the Esk-Kilcoy Rd going through the town of Somerset past the Somerset Dam for 4.0kms to "The Spit" picnic area.

Here we can have just relax, play with the footy/whatever & do a photoshoot.

Then its back on the road home via esk.

Total driving time should be around 3.5-4hrs, depending on traffic. This includes the drive from somerset to Ipswich aswell...

We'll be having a BBQ at Bourbons new place after the cruise, all is welcome!! Oh and dan will be down here aswell

lol I think we'll keep a minimum 2-3 car clearance between cars, and i'm going to do a step by step map just for u zapps hehe. I aswell will have a few mod's to show off
