Looks like a great find especially with so few ks for so cheap. Can the clearcoat be fixed without spending too much?

SE20 (Sports Edition) was sold next to the Astina SP20 but only as a protege. only 250 were made (all in starry blue), and they shared basically everything except for the grey cloth inserts in the seats & door cards, and the blacked out headlights.

Um my car? $4.5K in current form. $8.0K with fully rebuilt engine. Just got new tyres. And braided brake lines next Monday.

Mmm it does look to be lowered already, could save some pennies... Although the laser is probs more fuel efficient and has less kms on it...

More fuel efficient? How so? They both have the some motors (FP i would assume - 1.8L) in them!

Only downfall is that if I wanted to lower the laser, I cant jump on the eibach sale as they seem to have run out so it would be dreaded kings...

Whoops, I just assumed it had a 1.6 like KQ's one. Does the BJ have power windows? Doesn't mention it on the carsales page whereas the laser does. But given it's the same engine I'd probs now go with the BJ.

Well its basically go time now, car is sold, so another is needed...

I received a call from the bloke that owns the green laser, long story short, he has a company car. his wife doesnt drive a manual so its basically just sitting there... Its been on the market for nearly a year, and has done around 2000kms in the last year. All the logbooks are up to date, which included the timing belt changed at 100,000kms...

What do you guys reckon?? Going to see it on saturday morning, so will be taking pics etc...

I'd be wary of a timing belt that has only done that sort of KMs in a year - mine stretched and slipped just before Dorrigo 2007 because of that. Not saying that it will, but it's something to keep in mind...

Went and had a look at the laser this morning, very nice, a couple scratches here and there, only thing I could really pick on was that the clutch needs to be adjusted as you really have to put your foot into it to engage... but other then that, very nice.

If we were to get it, mods would be:

lowering
tint
clear indicators
stereo

Having a look at the mazda at 4pm, so will update as soon as we get home...

cheers
marc

the other 323 was a joke, it was basically a standard BJ1 with rims, plus only had a 1.6L!!!

So we had some thought overnight, and went and picked up the laser this morning

$7k we got it for, runs like a dream! I have also made a readers rides which can be seen Here...

Cheers
Marc
