I think it's a fairly moderate size.

Better, as is always mentionable, than the smiley on the 3. I wish that the second gen 3's had been more modelled after the second gen 6's.

A little birdy tells me there'll be a MPS...but with a twist.

I was looking around to see if there would be an MPS. Wonder what it'll look like if they make it!

Closer to one of their lower models, you could say.

Lol, so much zooming out on my phone! Looks like a mean car though!

Wonder what that chrome grille piece would look like blacked out or in red...

I think the chrome trim adds character and definition to the body lines... I'm not a chrome person, but this is one of those few rare instances that it works nicely

I like it too. Almost wished it went a little further up the headlights though.

In other news, just got a "Test Drive Invitation" from a local Mazda dealer.

Tempting, very tempting.

The Mazda dealership we bought our 6 through actually sent me an invitation to drive one, and if we bought one before 31 December, we get free carpet mats!

And not even an MPS at that.

went to the dealer today to pick up some parts... there's a new 6 sitting in the show room, red colour... it is nicer in person than the pics, as expected... and the car in photos is already stunning! The panel gaps were small, the lines, the curves, everything outside was just spectacular... one thing that is odd is how heavy the bonnet is... there's plenty of room in the engine bay for a turbo, obviously at this point for the SkyActiv-D engine, but perhaps we may see a petrol turbo MPS model in the future (wishful thinking)?

inside is what made me fall in love with this car.... the leather was buttery smooth and soft, lexus like in feel... the fit and finish of the plastics was PERFECT for such an early production car... the gaps were minimal and barely noticeable... all plastics had a soft touch, even the supposed hard plastics of the centre console assembly... the gap between the centre console to the dashboard is very small and evenly smooth... all the fabric trims were in the right place... the seats were perfectly designed and wrapped around me perfectly, and for the first time in 10 years, I felt comfortable sitting in a Mazda! There wasn't a Mazda that had nice comfortable seats since the Millenia (Eunos 800) and Protege till now... the GG and GH 6 left some to be desired, none of the seats in the 3s felt right in seating position and to my back.... the GJ 6 was just PERFECT

the boot is massive! if you want to be gangster, you can fit like 3 dead bodies in there! Little fine details were even added to the boot... there is a felt trim liner that covers the under side of the boot lid, typically seen in Toyotas... the large hinges for the boot lid also conceal away behind the boot liner, also something typically Toyota... two large plastic storage trays sit at the corners of the boot between the tail lights and the wheel arches... one funny thing I noticed were that the tail lights are Chinese made! Proof of global economy!

The leg room is about the same as the non-US GH 6, maybe a little more... but definitely no where near as much as the USDM GH 6 / GCC GH 6 Ultra... but it's quite acceptable actually... in fact, I find it roomier than the previous generation XV40 series Camry

did I already say the dashboard is beautifully "crafted"? it reminds me a lot of the current Audis and BMWs... high up large satnav display with low mounted air vents... it's very BMWesque styling, no doubt in my mind they got ideas from the Germans

this car might not meet today's Lexus standards for quality and manufacturing tolerances, but it's pretty close from what I've seen... maybe just a few years behind, that's all... this car proves that Mazda always knew how to build quality cars in the most skilled level, when they try! Lessons taken from building the 929/Sentia, Eunos 800/Millenia/Xedos 9, Eunos 500/Xedos 6, and even the Amati cars that never made it to the production line from more than a decade ago makes this possible today... can I dare say this has serious contention to Nissan's Infiniti marque as far as quality and build level?

too bad this car is too slow for my tastes and I have no money, it's something I'd consider if I needed a family car

the "gto" is a monaro, not a commonwhore

of course they're bloody huge cars, what else do you expect from a luxury car?
plus it beats fuel consumption over any of that holden crap, by far

If the 6 can save me $31,000USD in fuel over 5 years, then great.
