MX5 update goodness
Just a quick one everyone, I know I've been scarce.
My health just isn't responding as hoped and I have to face another battery of tests and stuff to see what else has gone wrong. C'est la vie n all that. However, the MX5 has received a facelift. Missy now has clear side indicators, clear reflectors in the front and rear bar, a stylebar behind the headrests, chrome scuffs and the 18's from the Lynx that look so DEAD SEXY on the MX5, in fact, they're staying *grins* Let me know what you all think, and we still have plans for the quad throttles and other go fast bits. Aaron has been researching RX7 brakes to go on her too. anyway, that's about it for my update, have a good one *evil grin* |

Dam girl!!! That's almost Aston Martin! V Nice!
You want quads? Save yourself the hassle, rip out half the wiring loom, and go twin dellortos! That'd be sexy!

Thankyou so much everyone.
Aaron has done the hard work, he installed the chrome 'stylebar' when we had it shipped from o/s. Missy has been a project for a while now, and when the problems getting the Lynx rego'd came up, we swapped the wheels so that the Lynx would have 'legal' wheels. Funnily enough, the lenso's are legal on the MX, and they look so good, so they're staying *grinz* SehnKahn: The 18" wheels are a bit harsher than the 16" ones, but the Koni and Kings package we put on her a while back are doing the job. It's much less fun being a passenger though. Funnily enough, when I am driving, my passengers are really really REALLY quiet LOL! Mind you, Aaron has the record atm, he took a friend on a trip up the mountain at a cruise in North Sydney, and when they returned he got out of the car and asked where the toilet was. *cracks up* Missy sure gets attention these days though, and it's still a pocket rocket. Picture this if you will, your Kitty screaming around in the MX5 and arms out of the carriage like on a rollercoaster squealing with pure joy. Yep, it can be a tough life sometimes I am always happy to take anyone for a crooz whenever we catchup, oh, except maybe for the wedding day - I'll be otherwise occupied. Oh and Greg: Remember how we drove through the blue mountains when I was driving the XR6T? I get to go harder in the MX5 *weg* Cheers everyone, and huge thankyou for the positive feedback, it means a lot to me when my AGT family and peers all appreciate the car. *megaHUGS* |

Hey Kitty!
Looking hot (the car too!). How's the offset with those rims on the MX5? I was going to buy some MX5 rims for my car aaaaages ago, but wrong stud pattern. Shame, because they would have looked good too (and had a mazda badge being stockie jobs). |

They're perfect. The BA (KJ Laser) and MX5 (all before the NC) all run the same basic wheel geometry. 35-40mm offsets, 4x100PCD etc. Yours must run the 4x114.5PCD?
I still reckon the Mx5 needs 50 more hp to make it really fun. Although now it's balanced controllable and generally easy going but more is good A.

your gonna uprgade the brakes? haha why!?
how harsh is the ride now? i know its bad enoguh with 16s on it. my parents just bought a new mx5 and we r selling the old one for 19 000 and no one wants it ! |

The brakes are barely adequate when the car is driven as it should be. They resist fading reasonably well, but a full paced hill climb and descent (ie What I did on the OMC 1st Birthday Cruise last year) will have them pretty second feeling. We're talking maybe 2km of corners...
There's a lot of variables in the MX5 game... Depends on the year, the extras, the condition etc etc A.

Have finally snapped some better pics with the wheels. Still they're only done with a mobile phone, but came up a little better.
A.

I like seeing the hardtop on for a change. Those wheels suit it quite well.
